The major difference between Street Dancing and other forms of dancing techniques is that there are no sets of rules and regulations governing the moves in this form of dance. Depending on the rhythm of the music, the street dancer can choose and perfect his or her moves. Street Dancing moves are solely depended upon the music to which the dancer is supposed to perform. The street dancer can choose to perform his moves with a group or individual depending upon the choice of music and dancing style.

Another famous style of Street Dancing that has become famous is the art of popping. In this dancing style, the dancer has to contract and relax his or her muscles in quick succession to produce jerks in the body that will create gliding motion. The famous moon walking technique made famous by the legend, Michael Jackson, is part of this Street Dancing style. This style involves great control over the muscles of the body and requires a lot of practice before you can perform them. Popping is one of the famous, yet difficult Street Dancing moves known till date. Even the basic moves in style of dancing requires high control over the muscles of the body to ensure the perfect movements that creates the famous dance steps like moon walking in which the performer appears to be walking on the moon wand in an environment where there is little or no gravitational force.

Liquid dancing is another form of Street Dancing, where the dancers concentrate on the movements of their hands, fingers and feet to produce the gliding effects. Recently, another form of style has evolved known as Krumping, which requires high physical capabilities by the dancers to perform the amazing body bending acts that the Street Dancing moves for this style requires. This is meant only for the most seasoned street dancers and can be performed by them only. Some street dancers also like to perform another type of style known as the robot, in which the dancers have to mimic the actions of a robot.
